I'm Dan, dad, funny t-shirt enthusiast, and the one-man operation behind The Silly Gear Shop. I started this place with my kids, and honestly, that's still exactly what it is: a dad and his kids trying to put more laughter into the world, one shirt at a time.
The idea came from my kids' love of Dad's Bedtime Stories, a podcast where kids submit ideas and a creator brings them to life. Watching them light up every time their idea got picked made me think: what if we did something like that, but for the gear you wear? So we did.
My favorite part of running this shop? Wearing one of the shirts my kids came up with and watching someone read it, laugh, and ask where I got it. Telling them "my kid designed it" never gets old. That's really what this is: no design team, no trend reports, no corporate boardroom. Just the funniest ideas from the people I love most, made into gear worth wearing.
